It doesn’t open anymore :/

Last version and today version, Harvest open for 3 seconds, in this time button are sensible to mouse clicks but it self close… So I can’t use it anymore.

Brilliant

This is absolutely excellent for small design studios or individual freelancers. It’s far nicer to work with than a lot of large scale similar time keeping services, and it is well worth the cost if you actually bill for your time.

Finally the harvest app users deserve

This new update is great. Prior versions, while functional, looked like crap. Part of the reason Solid Site has used harvest since shortly after they first started, was because of the superior user experience. User experience is something the harvest web app has always updated and improved upon over time. Now that great UX seems to be integrated into the mac app, and I’m very pleased to see it. (Now please make a PC app guys!)

Its OK

*Modification*: The "view in harvest" is still there, you have to right-click on an time entry in the main panel. These are first impressions, Ill update this review once I have more time with the app. Generally, the update is pretty underwhelming and insignificant. Was expecting a little more from a 2.0 release version but I get it, its a timer, there is only so much you can pack in. If I had a choice between 1.0 and 2.0, I might choose the former. The good: Developers added eye-candy, no major enhancements other than a summary view, which I admit is better. The bad: You can no longer right-click on the app (you need to click the gear which is an extra step) and removed the "Launch Harvest" shortcut, which I personally enjoyed. Perhaps this is luck, but I seem to get the connection error when resuming items more often than I remember (based on my biased opinion, so grain of salt here). Wishlist: Didnt take away stars for this, but would be nice if summary view showed a breakdown by "client", as for me its a lot more valuable knowing totals per client than a lump sum.

New version still needs work

Hi, The new version of Harvest doesn’t recognize any of my old projects that I had on the go before the update. Now everytime I go to try to track my time it prompts me to set up a new project. This means I have to use your website to actually start a project timer ….super super annoying. Would LOVE if you guys could fix this and release another update. I’m sure I am not the only one. Love your software and have recommended it though now I have stopped because of this hickup in functionality.

Detach from window deosn’t work

I am fan of new designs of this app, however tap on status bar, each time moves me to first desktop where I launch Harvest. Previously, Harvest appeared over desktop from where I tap on status bar, what was definitely more comfortable.

Great update!

This latest update has renewed my faith in Harvest. With the color theme changes and the additional functionality. It makes it a breeze to keep track of your time while working on projects. This update has pushed me to go ahead and sign up for their online service. Great job!!

Great update! Way better than it was, would like more shortcuts!

This update is great. I really like the ability to see all time for the week easily and add/remove time from the previous day(s). The summary view is also a godsend vs having to run reports all day long to see how things are shaping up. The only thing I wish it had was a few more gmail like (vim, really) shortcuts. j/k to navigate the timers (in addition to the arrow keys), and c or a to add a new timer if the window is already open vs the global start a timer shortcut that is already configurable. Those are pretty minor gripes to an otherwise stellar update, though.

Fantastic update. Wow! Love it.

Well done guys! Keep up the great work!!! So useful and well-designed.

Staying with Harvest!

The previous Harvest time tracker had so many issues I had been considering swithcing over to another service. So I was super excited to see this update! It’s super stable, has a nice UI, and it’s awesome to see my weekly summary. There are a few bugs here and there -- when starting/stopping time tracking, I sometimes get the “Houston weve have a problem” error (which seems like a race condition issue). Great work on 2.0! Keep the improvements coming!

Fantastic update

This update is very visually pleasing and functions exceptionally well. Being able view my time for the week and get summary items means less trips to the website and makes this desktop experience better than the mobile app. Exceptional!

Wonderful Update

Very pelased with this update. The week at a glance and time summary features are fantastic. Also digginng the new look.

Great update!

The new update has been great and I’ve updated the review the reflect that. I love the new interface and new info available at a glance. Thanks!

App crashing

This new version is crashing a lot for me. And restarting the Mac won`t help. The app crashes and won`t run.

Keeps Crashing

Please fix! I can’t even open the Harvest app, it just keeps crashing. And I keep forgetting timers running in the browser since I can’t use the app.

Doesn’t track time correctly!

I initially was very happy to find this app in the store because it would help remind me to track my time. Sadly, the app has a huge issue… It doesn’t keep accurate time. Based upon some very light testing, it appears to add 1 minute to the counter every 40 seconds. As such, it’s pretty darn usless. How QA missed this problem indicates (at least to me) that little to no testing was done with this application.

What happened??

I love Harvest as a service overall, however the app has ceased to be useful at all. It’s SO buggy. I now cannot add a new job and start a timer without having to go to the website, which is a waste of time. To be clear, I’m not referencing the app on my phone (which seems to be working just fine, but rather the app on my desktop. I’m using the latest version which claims to have fixed a number of bugs, but it appears that others have taken their place. Please fix!!

Great Time Tracking App… just missing ONE feature...

This is a great time tracking app that integrates seamlessly with your Harvest account. I’d love to see this work more like Chronomate which alerts you when you havent been tracking time, but you’ve been working on your computer. You could be working on an important project for hours and not be tracking the time. Chronomate would alert me after 5 minutes, and keep alerting me every 5 minutes until I started the timer. Harvest, this is the only great feature that you’re missing. Add that and I’ll dance a jig.

You have to say that i’ts a Paid Service

The app myght to be good but it would be very good idea to tell that you have pay for the service. It’s not an app that works alone… so.
